Question Three: who would win a fight between a cat and a wolf?
The eternal question answered! While we were distracted by the clam fiasco, Haida decided to let Grace's dogs know who the boss was, so I had to alpha-dog her. Evidently, Butch thought I wasn't doing a good enough job. Actually, the current theory is that he thought he was joining Haida in beating up another dog (that's pretty common behavior for Butch). He got the wrong dog.

Question Four: does Butch look like an angel when he's sleeping?
Butch entertained himself over the weekend--when not beating up dogs--by chasing Stephanie around the house. She's allergic to cats, and has heard enough Butchie horror stories that she is justifiably nervous around him. He was probably just trying to make friends, but he does purr while attacking people (well, it's fun for him), so it is hard to tell. Watching the StephBird walk around the house with Butch following behind was very amusing, but, luckily for Steph, Shrimpy got between them and distracted Butch enough to save her.
